Port Blair, Aug 19: Advocating for the populace of Telegu Community, Kuldeep has submitted before the Lt Governor that the most of the members of this community are from financially backward class whose home towns are situated at various places of Andhra Pradesh.
For meeting their aged parents, attending various socio-responsibilities, meeting their children, getting medical treatment at their native places, and getting their children admitted in various schools or colleges they use to avail sea route via Kolkata, Chennai which is not only time consuming but also for such trips they have to pay good amount for their daily requirements in board.
In case low fare air travels from Port Blair to Vizag and vice versa are introduced this will be a great help for them. Kuldeep has also stated that for this cause he has met the Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation on 11th December, 2013 and also requested the AN Administration.
The PCC chief has also thanked the Lt Governor Lt General (Retd) AK Singh for taking initiative for early introduction for this air route and submitted his hope to get it started at the earliest.
The Lt Governor has reportedly given assurance that early action on this issue will be taken.
