Port Blair, Mar 29: Mr. R Mohan the President of A & N State BJP unit today demanded immediate financial help for the family members of two labourers who died in a road accident infront of Old Library yesterday. Mohan has also demanded cancellation of the license of M/s Shakti Agency.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, CS and DGP, Mr. Mohan alleged that the accident occurred due to negligence of police authority.
“This is a question mark on the part of the working of A&N Police Department and other concerned authorities that another road accident, that too a fatal accident, occurred yesterday in front of Old Library. When the Administration is having sufficient police force under its control, why over loading trucks are allowed to run on roads. In case the officials so want the Party will go on sending photographs of such over loaded trucks and hence this cannot be denied that it was the first case of overloading.”
Mohan also demanded action against police personnel who allowed such overloaded truck to pass through the Bazaar area.
