Port Blair, Aug 11: The PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chairman and all Councillors to exempt the widowed women residing within Municipal area from paying property tax on their properties, which they have acquired from their husbands or from their ancestors, out of their limited financial resources.
In his letter to the Chairman, PBMC, Kuldeep, narrated the pathetic conditions of the widowed women who are also the responsibility of the society and who need to be rendered all possible help and relaxations so that they may lead a normal life with their limited resources, has requested to exempt them from paying property tax as a special case so that they don’t feel ignored and get some relief in these hard days.
