Mayabunder, Aug.05: One person namely Ahmed Farooq, Peon, Education Department is convicted by Ld. CJM, Mayabunder recently for committing unnatural offence with a minor school girl.
On the basis of a complaint of victim girl aged about 08 years a case vide Crime No. 117/08 dated 29/12/2008 U/S 377/354/342/506 IPC was registered at P.S Billiground against Ahmed Farooq, peon of Govt. Primary School, Panchawati.
After completion of the investigation the investigation officer, S.I Mahesh Kumar filed charge sheet against Ahmed Farooq, Peon, and Education Department U/S 377/354/342/506 IPC citing 20 Nos. of witnesses.
The charge against the accused was framed under the same sections and accused was put to trial.
Out of 20 charge sheeted witnesses, the prosecution examined altogether 18 witnesses and also exhibited various documents and material objects in support of its case.
After conclusion of trial and after hearing the arguments of both sides the Ld. CJM, Mayabunder, Mr. Priyajit Chatterjee has convicted the accused Ahmed Farooq under various sections of IPC and sentenced him to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for 03 years and a fine of Rs. 5,000/- U/S 377 IPC, further R.I for 01 year for offence U/S 342 IPC, 02 years of R.I for offence U/S 506 IPC and 02 years R.I for offence U/S 354 IPC.
All four sentences shall run concurrently. The entire prosecution was conducted by Mr. M.K.Das, APP-Cum-GP, Mayabunder, N&M Andaman.
