Port Blair, Aug 03: As a part of 100 days agenda governance the Nehru Yuva Kendra Rangat organized a Skill up gradation Training Programme in the Trade of Soft Toys making at Urmilapur on 01/08/2014 in order to upgrade vocational skills of rural young women and enable them to supplement their family income as well as enhancing their self esteem in the society.
The training programme is being participated by 15 women of the area. On the occasion Shri Sudain Mondal, Pradhan, Urmilapur Gram Panchayat was chief guest and inaugurated the training center in presence of Smti Geeta Roy, Ward Member of the Panchayat. Smti Karni Mirdha, Instructor of the centre also presented brief about the training. Shri Alphonce Toppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat proposed vote of thanks and urged the women to take maximum benefit from this training.
