Port Blair, July 25: A mini tornado today hit Port Blair city at around 4.30 pm, stripping off roofs of many houses and government offices as well as uprooting trees.
The tornado reportedly hit the Girls’ School first then the APWD office behind and then the tornado took the path of Raj Niwas, NABARD Colony and finally it moved towards Junglighat before falling weak.
Tree fell over SAD office of APWD, Girls school’s roofs blown off, two trees feel infront of Raj Niwas and roofs of several houses and shops were stripped away by the mini tornado.
