Port Blair, July 21: On 18/07/14, acting upon an information, a team of officers from Central Crime Station & Special Branch (CID) comprising of Inspector Solomon Samuel, SHO, SI Vishal Ram, SI Sarvanan, HC/P.R. Ajeesh Kumar, LPCs S. Prity, Seema Marki, LHG Shakuntala, HG(D) Manoj Soreng under the supervision of Shri. S.K. Goswami, Dy. Supdt. of Police (CID) conducted a raid on a brothel being run at Atam Pahad and rescued 02 minor girls and arrested 03 persons namely (1) Smti. Puspa Biswas, (2) Prem Charan, both resident of Kamraj Nagar and (3) Smti. Ganga Biswas R/o Bhatu Basti, who forcefully engaging the minor girls in prostitution. A criminal case against the aforesaid 03 persons have been registered at P.S.CCS under the appropriate sections of law and is being investigated.
