Port Blair, July 17: The PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt Governor to consider 2nd campus for the students of 9 to 12 classes of the Govt Model Senior Secondary School. In his letter Kuldeep has drawn the kind attention of the Administrator to the fact that the Govt. Model Senior Secondary School is one of the most old and best school of these islands, running under AN Administration which has produced many IAS, Engineers and Doctors. This is the dream of most of the parents to get admission of their children in this school. Total 2800 students are studying in this school which has classes from 1 to 12th standard, Kuldeep added.
He has further drawn attention of the Administrator stating that though the educational environment of the school is very good but the school is overcrowded and due to lack of infrastructure like well developed play ground, students don’t get chance to play all the games during the game periods. Hence the PCC chief has requested the Lt Governor to consider separate second complex for the students of class 9 to 12 of the school so that these students who are to be prepared for Board Examinations may get cool and calm environment to study, while all the students including the students of class 9 to 12 get quality play ground with required facilities of various sports and good space for moving one class room to other class room etc. Kuldeep has stated that this consideration will boost the physical and mental energy of the students.
