Port Blair, July 16: The State Institute of Education, Shiksha Sadan, Port Blair in collaboration with Regional Institute of Education (NCERT), Bhubaneswar is organizing a 03-day In-service Training Programme on Content cum- Pedagogy enrichment for PGTs (Chemistry) from 16th to 18th July, 2014 in the Conference Hall of Shiksha Sadan , Port Blair.
Today, in the inaugural function Shri Devinder Singh, Secy-cum-Director (Edn.) was the Chief Guest. In his address he emphasized that the teachers should update themselves with the curriculum and disseminate the same during their classroom transaction. Maximum efforts should also be taken by the teachers to bring qualitative improvement in their particular subject by involving the students through various activities.
At the outset, Dr. R. Dev Das, Director, SIE, Port Blair welcomed the Chief Guest, Resource Persons and Participants and gave an overview of the training programme. On this occasion Dr. Jyotshna Mahapatra from RIE, Bhubaneswar and Dr. R ;B. Pareek from RIE Ajmer also highlighted the intended objectives of the training programme. The inaugural function came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. S K Mondal, Programme Coordinator, SIE, Port Blair.
