Port Blair June 18: On behalf of Aanganwadi workers, State BJP President Mr. Vishal Jolly had written a letter to the Lt. Governor requesting him to increase their salary in order to ensure that they maintain a healthy living standard.
Vishal had further stated that if the fund allotted as per Central Government Scheme is not enough to enhance their salary, money from plan money may be utilized to address their long pending demand. EPF should be deducted from their salary, so that they are benefitted in the long run. Medical facility may also be extended to them at par with other government servants.
State BJP President had brought to the notice of the Administrator, the pathetic condition of Aanganwadi centers all across the Islands. He had requested that Necessary action may be taken to ensure that a healthy working environment is provided to these Aanganwadi workers and the children alike.
