Port Blair, June 09: The Lt Governor has approved the proposal for creation of a separate Sub-Division of Havelock which will comprise of Havelock, Neil and Little Andaman for providing effective Administration to the people of these islands.
This was a long standing demand of the residents and PRI members of these islands who were forced to come to Tehsil Office Port Blair for every nature of work. In order to mitigate the grievances of the public and for providing all revenue services , an Assistant Commissioner level Officer is also being posted at Have lock for quick disposal of public grievances and other revenue related works.
Further Administration has also decided to hold Revenue Camp at Havelock on 16th and 17th June under programme “ZILLA PRASHASAN AAP KE DWAAR” for quick disposal of public grievances, a Press release from the Office of Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman has stated.
