Port Blair, Apr 30: The selection trail for Islands Karate Team for participation in National Karate Championship in the Categories of sub-junior, cadet, junior and under 21, will be conducted at Multipurpose Hall, Netaji Stadium Sports Complex here on 4th & 5th May, 2014 from 10 am to 3 pm. This National Championship will be organized by Karate Association of India (KAI), recognized by Govt. of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and the Championship will be conducted in 4 categories.
In this connection, various Karate style Association /Organization functioning in the Islands have been requested to send their eligible participants along with achievement certificates and proof of age duly attested by the concerned Association/Organization in the selection trail on the said date and time, a communication said.
Why after 2014 there is no selection trial of national karate championship?
