Mayabunder, Apr 24:The Annual Day-cum-Prize giving ceremony of 2013-14 of MGGC was celebrated with much pomp and ceremony in the college auditorium amongst 800 students and nearly 100 staff and guests. There were record prizes this year awarded to the students having distinctions in various fields such as debate, speech, dance, essay writing, mimicry, one act play, drama, food stalls and stationery stalls, fancy dress etc. Around 500 students participated in all these competitions in the form of youth festival and special days throughout the year. Around 250 prizes were awarded in the form of momento and certificates to more than 250 students. Dr. R. Devdas, Director State Institute of Education was the guest of honor while Dr. R.G.S. Baghel, Dr.K.Rajmohan, Dr.T.Hemalatha and Shri C.Parthiban, Assistant Professors of JNRM were present as special guests. They distributed the prizes to the winners. A brief cultural programme was also organized by the college students. Dr.R.N.Rath, Principal hailed the efforts of the students exhibiting very good result in the odd semester examinations conducted in Nov/Dec., 2013, a communication said.
