Mayabunder, Apr 23: A fire triggered from garbage dump at around 1510 hours became uncontrollable at Mayabunder Bazaar near Helipad. It took a lot of efforts from the side of Fire Brigade team to control the fire. Due to timely action of Fire Brigade team headed by ASI, A C Paul the fire was brought under control before it could reach to power lines and vehicles parked nearby. According to villager the road side area was converted into a garbage disposal ground by the Gram Panchayat Mayabunder and today the Pradhan had allegedly decided to destroy the garbage by burning it, with even intimating Fire Brigade.
