Port Blair, Apr 21: The Department of Art and Culture, A&N Administration is exploring the possibility of organizing 20-40 minutes’ performance related to any episode from the history of Andaman and Nicobar Islands for enactment in the National Memorial Cellular Jail on daily basis by theatre groups. This would be an added attraction for the tourists in the National Memorial. It would also provide a regular platform to theatre artists to showcase their talents.
In this context, applications are invited from the interested theatre groups of the islands. The last date for receipt of application is 25th April 2014. More details can be obtained over phone no. 230117, a communication from the Director (Sports) said.
