Port Blair, April, 7th, 2014: The Reserve Bank of India granted branch opening licence to A & N SCB for opening of 9 more new branches across various places of A & N Islands viz. Long Island, Nimbutala, Kishori Nagar, Mahatma Gandhi Government College (Mayabunder), Junglighat, Burmanallah, Betapur, Chowra and Wandoor.
The Licence has been granted in terms of Section 23 read with Section 56(p) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS) vide Order no. RPCD.CO.RCB. No. 10930/ 07.06.006/ 2013-14 dated 04.04.2014.
With this, A & N State Coop. Bank shall fulfill and cater the demands of people from all walks of life for basic financial needs with a total branch network of 38 branches across A & N Islands.
