Port Blair, Feb 13: To reduce the dependency of tourists on ferry boats to reach the North Bay Island, the Administration has now decided to construct a new road connecting North Bay and Bambooflat Island.
“After tiring paper works, the APWD has cleared all tender processes for construction of a new road from North Bay to Bambooflat along the coastal belt. The Tender Process completed yesterday and the work has been given to a private contractor and the private contractor will start the work within 20 days,” a senior officer of APWD told Andaman Sheekha, who does not want his name to be quoted.
But the most important question remains here that how the tourists will reach Bambooflat? Again by Ferry boats?
