Port Blair, Feb 13: Dr Ashok Siddharth, MLC (UP), Co-coordinator of Bahujan Samaj Party in A&N Islands addressed a public meeting at Tiranga Park and officially announced the name of Mr. Gour Chander Majumder, (BE, MOT) as the candidate of the party in A&N Constituency.
He also advocated for giving reservation to all migrated Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes and OBC in these Islands. He also stressed for employment to domicile candidates for Group B and Group C staffs in Government jobs. He also nominated Mr. Abdul Majeed (Maiju) as the State Working President and Mr. Pradeep Narayan as the State General Secretary of the party. Local leaders also addressed the meeting and the meeting was concluded by the vote of thanks from the party President Mr. Harris Anselm. A large number of people witnessed the meeting.
