Port Blair, Feb 10: “State Open ARPAN Rolling Cup Volley Ball Championship – 2014” was inaugurated at Forest Ground, Tushnabad by Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President ANTCC. In a grand opening ceremony which was witnessed by Ms. Mariyam Bibi, Adhyaksha, ZP SA, Dr. S Dinesh Kannan, DFO South Andaman and host of other imminent citizens from all walks of life, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma declared the championship-season II open by hoisting the tournament flag. Altogether 12 best teams from different parts of A&N Islands are participating in the tournament. The Opening match was played between 22 Punjab Regiment and Nancowry group. 22 Punjab Regiment won the match in two straight sets. Mr. Mohd Safiq,Pramukh and Secretary ARPAN welcomed the gathering and Mr. Anand, Upadhyaksh proposed vote of thanks.
The tournament is being organized by ARPAN in association with Youth Club Ograbraj and MAK Azad Youth Club Tushnabad.
