Port Blair, Feb 03: The lone Member of Parliament of A & N Islands, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, in a letter written to the Chief Engineer, APWD has raised the demands of the villagers of North & Middle Andaman for development of their area which were damaged due to cyclone ‘Lehar’ in 2013.
Accordingly, these demands include construction of bridge in Chuglumgum village under Pahalgaon Panchayat as the existing wooden bridge has been damaged, repair/construction of bridge of Nabagram/Madhyamgram, construction of retaining wall at Nabagram, approach road at Kishorinagar, bridge at Badam Nallah Dara and construction of road from Jarawa Creek to Balu Dara via Mud Volcano under Nilambur Panchayat, Baratang.
The MP has requested the CE, APWD to take appropriate action for construction of the said roads & bridges, the MP said in a communication received here today.
