Port Blair, Jan 22: On directions of the CINCAN after his visit to Little Andaman, Andaman and Nicobar Command organised a Multi-speciality Medical Camp at Hut Bay on 17 Jan 14. The camp was conducted by INHS Dhanvantari in conjunction with ICGS Hut Bay and the local Primary Health Centre (PHC). The camp evoked an enthusiastic response from the local population. The camp was inaugurated jointly by Commandant KL Arun and Dr Helen Officer in Charge PHC, Hut Bay. Specialists in Ultrasound and Gynaecology examined over ninety seven patients including small babies, expectant ladies and elderly people. Ultrasound scanning of ladies and sick patients was carried on the spot. Apart from diagnosing and managing ailments of routine nature, cases were also referred to GB Pant Hospital / INHS Dhanvantari for further follow up and management. The camp was conducted in line with the commitment of the Andaman and Nicobar Command towards meeting the aspirations of the local populace.
