Port Blair, Jan 06: The Andaman Tamizhar Sangam, Port Blair has appointment Mr. Dr. N. Rajavel, HOD Commerce, JNRM, Port Blair and Mr. Dr.S. Jayakumar HOD Life Science, JNRM Port Blair, as Returning Officer and Asst. Returning Officer respectively to conduct the election to its Executive Committee consisting of 15 members. Then from among the elected members, the President, Secretary etc. will be elected. The Election Process has been started.
The ATS has requested all members to have frequent visit to the Andaman Tamizhar Sangam and view the Notice Board constructively to know the announcements regarding the rules and Procedures for the Election-Dates, Timings for filing Nomination, Contestant Deposit, Withdrawal, voting, Canvassing, Conditions etc.
Any clarification after due dates will not be entertained. Contesting Members are further requested NOT to meet the Officer outside the Officer of the Returning Officer after the prescribed date. No. telephone calls will be entertained.
The Officers will be available in the Office of the Returning Officer at Andaman Tamizhar Sangam everyday from 1700 Hrs to 1900 Hrs from 10.01.2014 till 05.02.2014. The ATS has requested all members to cooperate with the Election Officers to discharge their duties and responsibilities in their functions of Election Process.
