Diglipur, Dec 12: A school girl was reportedly molested by a youth of Mayabunder yesterday in the middle of Diglipur Bazaar. According to reports the girl was going home after her school and on her way she encountered this boy, Arvind Lakra, R/o Paloon, Mayabunder, who was under heavy influence of alcohol.
According to reports, manager of a nearby lodge intervene into this matter after seeing the girl being harassed by the drunken boy. Later people who gathered around, thrashed the boy. Soon a police constable reached the spot and took the boy to nearest Police Post, where the boy, under the influence of alcohol reportedly slapped the constable.
However the Head Constable at Police Post managed the situation and brought the boy to Police Station.
The Boy was arrested yesterday under section 34 IPC but was released today as the parents of the girl were not interested to file a FIR.
