Port Blair, Dec. 08: The opening ceremony of XVII State School Games 2013 scheduled for Dec. 9, 2013 at 3 pm stands cancelled due to observance of state mourning on account of sad demise of Dr. Nelson R. Mandela, former President of South Africa and a Bharat Ratna Awardee. Competitive sports will continue as per schedule, a communication from the Deputy Director of Education (Perl) said here today.
