Port Blair, Dec. 03: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee considered the request made by the people of the city for introducing Electronic Data capture machine at the petrol pumps and accordingly the PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt Governor to consider introducing of EDC machine at all major Petrol Pumps throughout these islands to accept payment through ATM cards alongwith the present system of accepting cash payment for fueling of Petrol and Diesel to the customers of two and four wheelers.
Kuldeep has stated that this new system in these islands will give relief to the local populace as well as the tourists who don’t want to carry cash with them.
