Port Blair, Nov 14: On the occasion of Children Day, the Coast Guard Wives Welfare Association (CGWWA) organized a picnic for CG Children at Science Centre. A total of 120 children enthusiastically participated in the event.
Mrs. Jyoti Murthy, President Tatrikshika (A&N) along with CGWWA (PB) office bearers joined the children for celebrating the event. The aim of the outdoor activity was to build scientific temper in the minds of young children in an atmosphere of fun and frolic. Besides a 3D film
show at the Science Centre, various games and group/team building activities for children were also conducted which saw enthusiastic
participation from all the children.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Jyoti Murthy urged the children to imbibe the values and lessons taught by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru for
becoming responsible citizens of the country. The event concluded with the distribution of trophies and certificates to the meritorious
children for excellence in academics followed by sumptuous refreshment for all the participants.
