Port Blair, Oct 09: The State President of Bharatiya Janata Party, A&N Islands Mr. Vishal Jolly has said in a statement that the prevailing Cyclonic weather and incessant rain has played havoc in North & Middle Andaman.
“Many villages in this area are marooned in flood water and even now many of them are cutoff from the rest. There is heavy loss of property and Agriculture in this area and since, most of them are farmers or small traders it will be very difficult for them to withstand these losses,” Jolly said.
Jolly has now demanded to declare these rain and flood as Natural Calamity and a proper survey of the area should be done immediately and the losses of Public should be compensated.
