Port Blair, Oct 08: The PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma along with a delegation of PRI members, Fishermen Community and Secretaries of the fisheries association called on Mr. Bimal Sinha, Chief Engineer & Administrator, ALHW on 07.10.2013 in connection with the project of development of fish landing centers(FLC). Kuldeep has stated that approval of 19 such Fish landing jetties have been approved for all over Andaman and Nicobar Islands out of which work for 13 jetties are awarded to the Andaman Lakshadweep Harbor Works Department. Hence Kuldeep has requested the Chief Engineer and Administrator to expedite the completion work of construction of such jetties which also includes the works at Guptapara, Wondoor and Panighat. Kuldeep has stated that due to want of FLCs the fishermen are facing acute difficulties. The CE&A, ALHW has assured to look into the matter.
