Port Blair, Oct 08: PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Director of Shipping services to consider special boats during puja holidays for all islands. Kuldeep has written in his letter that during the Puja holidays which fall from 10th to 14th October, 2013, the people of Campbell Bay, Kamorta, Nancowrie etc needs sailings from Port Blair to their respective Ports and vice versa.
Hence the DSS has been requested to consider special sailings in such a manner that the boats reach to those islands on 10th October, 2013 and back to Port Blair next day so as to enable the people to celebrate their holidays with their near and dear ones. The same arrangements may also be considered for other islands so that the days of festivities are not spoiled.
