Port Blair, Sept 26: The Hindi week celebration by Chetana, a socio cultural organisation concludes on Saturday. The Director General of Police, Sudhir Yadav will be the Chief Guest in the Valedictory programme to be held by 4.30 PM at the conference hall of Tagore Government College of Education , Port Blair. Dr Iqbal Ahmed, Principal of JNRM will preside over the function, while Dr J D Singh, Principal, TGCE will be the Guest of Honour.
During the week, Chetana organised various contests for the students of different colleges in and around Port Blair to promote the usage of Hindi among the students community. The Director General of Police, Mr Sudhir Yadav will award cash prizes and the certificates at the closing function.
