Port Blair, Sept 24: The efforts of LG and Principal Secretary (Education) paid off when the Pondicherry University agreed to enhance the intake of student in 5 PG courses. According to a communication received from the Registrar, Pondicherry University additional intake of 10 seats each is permitted as given below:

Students whose names are in the merit list are directed to contact the respective HoDs for counselling on 27th September 2013.
It might be recalled that the students have approached LG for enhancement of seats in the PG courses so that they could get higher qualification within the Islands without the need to go to mainland. Accordingly the case was taken up by Smt. Rina Ray, Principal Secretary (Education) who wrote to the Vice Chancellor of Pondicherry University for enhancement of seats.
