Port Blair, Sept 04: The Chairman, AN State Cooperative Union Kuldeep Rai Sharma has attended the programme organized by Bharti Service Cooperative Society Ltd at Ferrargunj on 31st August, 2013 and distributed Kisan Credit Cards to 34 farmers of the of the Society amounting to Rs. 22, 75, 000/-. In his inaugural speech Kuldeep has stated that the AN State Cooperative Union, ANS Coopt Bank and NABARD is taking all possible care for the upliftment of the farmers and unemployed youths from Campbell Bay to Diglipur and has also lauded the efforts of the Chairman and his team of the Bharti Service Coop Society ltd.
Kuldeep has recorded his pleasure that these 34 farmers will now be able to utilize the amount so granted to them under Kisan Credit card with less interest for the purpose of procurement of fertilizer, seeds and other necessary infrastructure for the better production agriculture produce which will on the other hand will also be beneficial for the people of these islands.
The Branch Manager, ANS Coop Bank has briefed about the various schemes of the bank viz mini banking, daily deposit scheme, Fixed deposits etc and requested the farmers and unemployed youths to get benefits of such schemes of the Bank. KP Aboobacker, Secretary of Alfa Hilal Coopt Society, Social workers Mohmd. Ali, Ferrargunj and Abdul Azis, Brindavan have also spoken on the occasion besides others. At the outset Ajay Kumar Dass, Chairman, Bharti Service Coopt Society has welcomed the gatherings and briefed of the activities of the Society. The programme was conducted by KP Aboobaker who has also proposed vote of thanks.
