Port Blair, Aug 22: In a public meeting organized at Hut Bay on 17th of August, 2013 the Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC stated that through his door to door visit and meeting with the public
representatives and PRI members he has come to know about the difficulties being faced by the population of the area and assured that he will certainly take up the issues with the officials of the
Andaman and Nicobar Administration for getting those solved as fast as possible.
He also stated that Little Andaman is a place with natural beauty with virgin sandy beaches, bewitching waterfalls, green forests, coral reef etc which can be developed as a tourist spot on the world map for
which he will take up the issue with the Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
He also suggested the population to construct temporary eco huts like the people in Havelock has constructed in their own lands which will give them way of earnings. He also stated that the fertile land of
Little Andaman is a boon for the populace which they should use in proper manner and grow more and more vegetables, coconut, arcanut etc. and he has assured that for getting those to Port Blair market he
will speak to the officials of Andaman and Nicobar Administration for more cargo boats.
He also requested the farmers to form cooperative societies and self help groups and contact the officials of ANCOFED for selling off their products. Mr. Sharma has stated that beside a Politician, he is also
a social worker and feels honored to render all possible help to the people of these Islands and urged that in case of any help they may call him any time and they will find him beside them.
Addressing the youths, Mr. Sharma stated them as muscles of Iron and nerves of steel and urged them to devote themselves for the development of the area. Mr. V. Mohammed Ali, Mr. R.V. Reddy, Mr.
Noor Islam, Mr. K.P. Abbobacker, Mr. John Robert Babu, Mr. Manimurgan , Mr. Samarpal Pradhan, and many others addressed the gathering on the occasion. A communication from PCC said.
