Port Blair, August 20: The birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Late Rajiv Gandhi, was observed as ‘Sadhbhavana Diwas’. To mark the occasion, Sadhbhavana Diwas pledge was administered to all the staff of Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat by the Lt Governor, Lt Gen (Retd) A. K. Singh PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM at Raj Niwas here this morning.
On this day, pledge is administered to all people to work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of the country regardless of caste, regions, religion or language. Pledge is taken to resolve all differences among people through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.
