Port Blair, Aug 13: Acting tough on bootlegging menace, the Aberdeen Police have arrested three persons on 11th August (Sunday) with 90 bottles of 750 ml. IMFL. Acting on an information about illegal transportation of IMFL, the Anti-Burglary squad of PS Aberdeen comprising of ASI M.A. Rasheed, HC Sanjay Kujur, PCs Mohd. Imran, Ashish Mallick, Rakesh Toppo and M. Raja Rao intercepted three persons near Phongy Chaung in an Auto and recovered 90 bottles of 750 IMFL from them.
A case has been registered under Excise Regulation against the bootleggers namely (1) A. Sendhil Kumar (30) yrs, (2) Samaya Muthu (21) yrs. (3) Mohd. Aslam (26) yrs. all residents of Wimberlygunj.
General public is requested to pass on any credible information on narcotics substances or any illegal activity on the following telephone numbers: 233077, 232405, 100, 9434289981 and 9434288546. The informant will be suitably rewarded and his/her identity will be kept secret. A communication from SP (SA) said.
