Diglipur, Jul 30: Mr. Kewal Krishna, District General Secretary, BJP, North and Middle Andaman in his letter addressed to the Lt. Governor has requested him to replace old technology based control & relay panel with circuit breaker and to supply new modern technology based control & relay panel with circuit breaker for Sitanagar Power house.
Mr. Kewal informed the Lt. Governor that the control & relay is an electrically operated switch and It is used where it is necessary to control a circuit by a power signal or where several circuits must be controlled by many different signals. Circuit breaker can be quickly reset. It is also safer because there is no question about choosing the right fuse rating and all the electrical connection are hidden in breaker box.
He also informed him that the control & relay panel and power breaker of Sitanagar power house is very old and made of old technology and also does not work properly. In case of emergency period or short circuit, power break down, the power turns off in all the area of Diglipur and not in that particular area.
He further added that the area of Diglipur is very vast and also the population and consumption of electricity is very high there and the inhabitants of Diglipur are facing a lot of problem due to the old control and relay panel with circuit breaker.
He concluded the letter by requesting the Lt. Governor to provide new technology based control & relay panel with circuit breaker for Sitanagar Power House, so that the power cut is reduced which will also reduce the sufferings of the residents.
