Kannan, President Andaman & Nicobar Drivers Welfare Union has joined Bharatiya Janata Party. They have expressed their full confidence in the leadership of Mr. Vishal Jolly, State President, BJP, A&N Islands & Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, MP, A&N Islands & in the National leadership of BJP. They have said that for the progress of these Islands and the Nation there is no other option but, only BJP.
