Port Blair, Jul 26: Mr. B.P Ray, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands in his letter addressed to the Chief Secretary,
Andaman and Nicobar Administration has informed him about the problems of the 12 Part Time Craft instructors who were ealier engaged in the education department.
He informed him that there are about 12 Part Time Craft Instructors whose engagement as Craft Instructor was discontinued and engaged as Part Time Ayah vide order No.5111 dated 7.12.2012 for a period of three and half months.
He also informed the Chief Secretary that The above 12 craft instructors worked continuously more than 2-15 years without any
break, except for vacation.
He also stated that these workers have been continuously working as Craft Instructor till April 2012 and their engagement as Ayah deprived their qualification and these workers have crossed their age limit and are poor and interested to work.
Mr. Ray requested the Chief Secretary to consider re-engagement of all the 12 incumbents as Part Time Craft Instructor, considering their
past experience and qualification.
