Port Blair, Jul 17: Gandhi the Mahatma, the award winning feature film of Mr. Naresh Chander Lal will be re-telecast by Doordarshan National Channel on 20th July 2013 (Saturday) at 9.30 P.M.
This film fetched Mr. Naresh Chander Lal Mahatma Gandhi Seva Medal by Gandhi global family, New Delhi and Maja Koene Award 2013 by the CESCI ( Centre for Experiencing Socio Culture Interaction ) an International organization based in Switzerland and India.
The film has already been screened at Gandhi ji ashram, Seva gram (wardha) and in many National /International film festivals at Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nashik, Kolkatta, Delhi, Gujrat and at Indian panorama film festival in Port Blair also.
The film has also been screened at all the Senior Secondary and Secondary Schools of Andaman & Nicobar Islands by the directorate of Education on 2nd October 2012 on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti.
