Port Blair, July 16: The Member of Parliament, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, today met the Lt. Governor in the afternoon along with the Pradhan Sundergarh Baratang, Mr. Biju Gurudasan, and the Zilla Parishad Members of Urmilapur and Kadamtala, Mr. B. Kurma Rao and Mr. Jyotirmay Bawali respectively, taking up the long pending demands of the People of the region, Mr. Ray raised the issues of the pathetic condition of the road, School buildings, PRI buildings and Hospitals.
He said that immediate attention is required to resolve these issues as the people are suffering a lot. The delegation stressed upon the need of increasing the number of conveys in between Middle Strait and Jirkatang.
The Zilla Parishad Member of Kadamtala requested the LG to introduce Science Stream and Commerce at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Kadamtala. The People of Kadamtala has been demanding this for so many years but nothing has been done so far. The Lt. Governor assured to redress the grievances raised by the MP and the PRIs.
