Port Blair, July 14: In yet another incident of Land sliding in city a footpath, situated at Japan Road, Dairy Farm today collapsed into the plot of another resident. According to eye witnesses the incident took place at around 5.00 pm. According to reports, residents of the area have been demanding for repair and reconstruction of the said footpath since past many years but PBMC did not pay any heed.
“The work has been sanctioned in 2009 but for reasons unknown the footpath was not repaired by PBMC, which resulted in today’s accident,” said an angry resident of Dairy Farm.
