The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament is a national initiative designed to provide young citizens aged 18–25 years with a structured platform to express their views on matters of national importance, develop leadership and communication skills, strengthen democratic values and cultivate an understanding of parliamentary proceedings. Students from educational institutions across North and Middle Andaman will participate in the district round and present their perspectives before a panel of jury members.
The District Round will focus on the theme “One Nation, One Election,” offering participants an opportunity to present their perspectives through parliamentary-style deliberations and speeches. The competition will follow a progressive selection process, with participants advancing through successive levels at District and State level. Selected representatives will get an opportunity to participate in the national-level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament in January 2027 at the historic Central Hall of Parliament of India, New Delhi, providing them with a unique platform to present their views at the national level.
The initiative reflects the commitment of Mera Yuva Bharat towards empowering young people as informed, confident and responsible future leaders, while strengthening their participation in democratic processes and nation-building. Through this platform, youth are encouraged to contribute their ideas and perspectives towards realising the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The programme is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from youth, educational institutions and distinguished guests, marking an important step towards promoting democratic awareness, leadership development and meaningful youth engagement in the district.
Mera Yuva Bharat, Rangat, looks forward to encouraging young minds to participate actively in this initiative and contribute towards building a progressive, inclusive and developed India.
