Port Blair, Jul 10: Like every year, the Directorate of Health Services will observe “World Population Day” on 11th July 2013 with the theme “Chhota Parivar – Sukhi Parivar” in Andaman & Nicobar Islands in befitting manner along with rest of the country.
On this occasion a month long awareness programmes from 27th June – 24 July 201 3 is being conducted by the Health Department to create awareness about ‘population stabilization’ among general public of this Union Territory involving PRIs, Para Medical Personnel’s, Anganwadi Workers, NGOs, ASHAs, Youth Clubs & students.
The main function of the “World Population Day 2013″ will be organized at Chouldari Panchayat Hall on 11” July 2013 at 10.30 AM. Mrs. Ratna Kannan, Chairperson, A & N State Social Welfare Advisory Board, A & N Administration will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
