Sri Vijaya Puram, October 25: The Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, has invited applications for Design for Bharat (DfB) 2027, a national youth design initiative under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027. Open to Indian youth aged 18 to 29 years, the initiative encourages young innovators to create practical, inclusive, and tangible design solutions aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The 2027 edition features two main categories, viz. Design for Bharat: Open Challenge, focused on tangible product design solutions addressing real-world challenges, and Design for Bharat: Graduation Project Challenge, a national platform dedicated to showcasing exceptional product design thesis projects.
Participants will benefit from expert mentoring, national evaluation, and opportunities to showcase their work on a national stage.
The last date to submit applications has been extended up to 31st October 2026. Interested youth can apply online through the official portal: https://mybharat.gov.in/pages/design-for-bharat.
