Port Blair, Jul 4: The Indian Youth Congress staged a dharna at Diglipur bazar this evening against the alleged anti- development activities of Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, MP. Among other things, speakers blamed the MP for stalling many developmental projects i.e. Yacht Marina at Viper Island, The IYC also demanded to enhance the maximum age limit of 33 years of appointment in the Police Constable from present 25 years, Daily boat service from Port Blair to Diglipur with the facilities of weekly along with 3 days cargo boat for the benefits of Agricultural and farmer’s and others, to stop for purchasing of MPLAD Buses and move same money towards the other rural Developments activities as all the buses are now off road and Revert the qualification for PSV license from class VIII to earlier stage. The dharna was attended by IYC Diglipur Samiti President, Mr.Suman Hazra, General Secretary Mr. Biplob Mondal, Pradhan Kuku Rani Paul, Samiti member Babli Paul Block President Narayan Debnath and Block General Secretary Asit Bain and Block General Secretary Mr. Rama Rao.
