SRI VIJAYA PURAM, Oct. 03: A delegation of the A&N Vidyut Shramik Sangh, led by its President N. Peddi Raju, met Lt. Governor Dr. Dinesh Sharma at Lok Niwas recently and submitted a representation on various long-pending issues of the Electricity Department.
The delegation sought creation of the post of Chief Engineer, revival of the post of Superintending Engineer (Electricity), and filling of vacant posts of Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers, Multi-Tasking Staff, Mazdoors, Linemen and SBEOs. It also raised the issue of promotion of Group ‘C’ staff and urged the Lt. Governor to take necessary action for filling the vacant posts at the earliest.
The delegation also submitted a representation regarding regularisation of past service with consequential benefits for 459 Mazdoors in the Electricity Department, in view of the Hon’ble High Court order dated February 19, 2026.
