Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 23: The newly appointed Group Commander, Col S Sriram, Group HQ, Chennai ‘A’, undertook an official visit to the NCC Army and NCC Naval Unit, Sri Vijaya Puram, on 22 September 2026. During the visit, he interacted with the ANOS, CTOs, Permanent Instructional staff, and the administrative staff of the unit. The Commanding Officer of the unit briefed the Group Commander on the functioning and activities of the unit through a detailed presentation. The Group Commander also inspected the Kote at the Police Line. On 23 September 2026, the Group Commander visited JNRM College. The Commanding Officers of the Army and Naval units accompanied him. The Group Commander held a meeting with the Principal of the college and thereafter interacted with the NCC cadets. During the interaction, he shared valuable insights and motivated the cadets to uphold the highest standards of discipline, leadership, and national service. Thereafter he visited Indian Naval Watermanship Training Camp at INS Jarawa.
