Washing machine and dryer were also presented to the facility to support the residents in their day-to-day needs. The programme also included a community lunch, followed by interaction with the residents and a walkthrough of the facility.
A multi-specialty medical camp was conducted for the residents, including elderly persons, children and differently abled individuals. Specialist medical services in Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology and Dentistry were provided. The beneficiaries underwent medical evaluation and were provided appropriate medical advice, counselling and guidance for further examination, whenever required.
As part of the preventive and promotive healthcare initiative, a Community Medicine Specialist conducted an interactive health awareness session focusing on healthy lifestyle practices, personal hygiene and sanitation. The session highlighted simple and practical measures for maintaining good health and preventing common illnesses. The children residing at the orphanage were encouraged to explore career opportunities in the Armed Forces, with emphasis on the values of discipline, service, professional growth and contribution to the nation.
The programme reflected ANC’s commitment to community welfare and inclusive healthcare, extending care, support and health services to vulnerable sections of society as part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations.
