Diglipur, Sept. 20: A resident of R.K. Gram, reportedly died after drowning while he had gone to bathe in the Mangan Nallah area. The man has been identified as Mr. Anil Manjhi.
According to information available from sources, Mr. Anil Manjhi had reportedly gone to the area near the Magar Nallah, where water flows down from the Saddle Peak region. The area is known for its flowing water and is located between the R.K. Gram and Diglipur Panchayat areas.
Sources said that Mr. Anil was bathing in the water when he reportedly fell into a deeper portion of the stream and could not come back to the surface. His death was subsequently reported, although the exact circumstances leading to the incident are yet to be established.
Following information about the incident, police personnel reached the location and initiated an investigation. Revenue Department personnel and local villagers were present at the site and assisted in the efforts.
