Diglipur, Sept. 20: A family from Subhash Gram in the Diglipur area has reportedly fallen ill after consuming chicken noodles purchased from a local shop, with the family alleging that poor food hygiene may have contributed to their illness. The matter has raised concerns over food safety and hygiene standards at eateries in the area.
According to Mr. Sunil Das, one of the victim, he along with his wife and daughter had chicken noodles and a beverage from the shop in Diglipur. After consuming the noodles at home, his wife and daughter reportedly started vomiting within about 15 minutes and were taken to the Diglipur Hospital facility for treatment.
Mr. Das said he initially had no symptoms but developed vomiting and diarrhoea the following day. He is currently undergoing treatment, including intravenous fluids and injections, and said he continues to feel weak.
The family has alleged that the noodles had an unusual taste and suspected poor hygiene during preparation. However, the allegation has not been independently established.
The incident has raised concerns over food hygiene in local eateries. The specific cause of the illness and whether any food safety violation occurred would need to be established through official inspection and investigation.
